In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old employee working in the media cell of a BJP MLA was found hanging in the early hours of Monday. The grim discovery occurred in flat no 804, which was allocated to BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla, located in the Hazratganj area of the city. The police were alerted after the deceased, identified as Shrestha Tiwari, made a distressing call to an acquaintance, revealing his intention to commit suicide.
The concerned individual who received the call promptly informed the police control room. Subsequently, a police team was dispatched to flat number 804. They found the door locked from the inside. When the police broke in and entered, Shrestha was found hanging. The police have seized his mobile phone.
At present, the motive behind Shrestha Tiwari's suicide remains unknown, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The young man, hailing from Barabanki Haidergarh, had been working in the media cell of the BJP MLA. He was alone in the flat on Sunday night. As of now, no suicide note has been recovered, and the deceased's relatives have been informed about the incident.
